Milford, better known as “Earl”, Stafford was born December 1st, 1955 and passed away April 7th, 2025. Earl was the eldest child of Norman and Martha Stafford. He had a younger and beloved brother, Wayne Stafford. Being the son of a Methodist preacher growing up, he moved to many places in Alabama. He graduated from Section High School in 1974. After high school, he went to work at a yarn mill, ‘Montesanto’, in Decatur, AL. Earl then went to work at Mohawk Industries, where he retired after 42 years of service. He met Angela Hansard and they married March 19th, 1983 for 22 years. During their marriage, they had 3 children- James, Samanatha, and Forrest. He enjoyed retirement for 2 months and then went to work at Cherokee County Health & Rehab Center (nursing home) as a housekeeper. At his time of passing, he was employed full-time with CCHRC for the past 5 years and 9 months. He really enjoyed working at the nursing home and made many friends that he thought about often. Earl was a loving, caring, supportive father and grandfather. He loved his grandchildren, Cameron and Natalee, more than words could say, but he did well expressing that love to his family. Earl was the kind of man that would help those that were in need. His generosity and kindness will always be remembered.

He is preceded in death by his son, James Earl Stafford.
