John Winston Ryan

Mr. John Winston Ryan, age 58 of Centre, passed away

Monday, December 23, 2024 at Cartersville Center for Nursing and Healing. . 

A memorial service will be held at 4pm Sunday, December 29th at the Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Paul Elliot officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 2-4pm at the funeral home. 

Mr. Ryan is survived by his daughters, Venessa Wolfe and Crystal Bowen; Grandchildren, Braelon and Grayson Harris; Brothers, Robert (Bobby) Ryan and Houston (Tara) Ryan; Sister Teresa Ryan; Nephew Brasen Ryan; Nieces Mia and Jacy Matthews; Aunts, Alice Helms and Donna Carroll; Fur-Baby: Batman; Numerous Cousins also survive. 

He was a native of Etowah County, the son of the late Robert and Alma Lois Ryan. He attended Hokes Bluff School and was a diesel mechanic by trade. He enjoyed fishing, Alabama football, and Nascar racing. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wayland and Annie Carroll and Paul and Erlene Ryan, along with numerous aunts and uncles. 

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jason (Sue) Pearson, Scott Carroll, Jerry Smith, Bret Hill and Wade Robertson. 

The family would like to thank the staff of Piedmont Cartersville Hospital and the Cartersville Center for Nursing and Healing.
