Mr. Homer “Alvin” Lambert, age 67 of the Flatwoods Community, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Sunday, April 27th, 2025 at the Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeff Hammett officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Nazareth Baptist Church Cemetery in Centre. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 26th from 5-7 pm at the funeral home.
Survivors include his son, Shane (Cam) Lambert; Daughter Ann (Camp) Reese; Grandchildren, Amanda Holcomb, Ericka (Chris) Sprayberry, Dakota (Lauren) Lambert, Deana (Tanner) Johnson, Brody “Baby Boy” Lambert, Gage Reese, Tre Reese; Great-Grandchildren, Jacie, Lelan, Myleigh, Emma, Bransten, Hunter, Braylen, Sage, Maggie, Creek, and Carter; Sister, Jean Ingram; Mother of his children, Pam Lambert; Chosen Sons, Brian Weeks and Andy McCullough; Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.
Pallbearers include Shane Lambert, Dakota Lambert, Tanner Johnson, Camp Reese, Brian Weeks, and Steve Christopher.
Honorary Pallbearers include Andy McCullough and Chris Sprayberry.
Alvin was a native of Cherokee County, the son of the late Norman D. and Minnie Mable Lambert and was preceded in death by his sister Mary Lambert. The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to help cover funeral expenses, with a link located on the funeral home website.
