Glenn "David" Jones

GLENN DAVID JONES

January 31, 1952〜December 9, 2024

Mr. Glenn “David” Jones, of Cedar Bluff, Alabama, passed peacefully in the early hours of Monday, December 9th. David was an avid fisherman and hunter- spending most of his time guiding tourists on Weiss Lake to catch Crappie, spotting deer in his stand, or tending to his garden that he proudly grew for his family and friends. Known well around the county as the go-to person for any interior or exterior painting that needed to be done. David enjoyed telling his stories from the ‘70s and ‘80s to anyone that would listen, all while playing his harmonica and air guitar to his favorite classic rock music. His greatest passion in life was his daughter and grandchildren, whom he kept giggling and taught most of life’s greatest lessons to. To know David was to love him. David was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Tatum Jones, and his brother, Paul Monroe Jones. Survivors include his mother, Doris Norman Jones; wife, Charlotte Sharp Jones; sister, Karen Marie Parker; daughter, Carrie (Drew) Hagen; stepchildren, Rodney (Tammy) Crane, Steven (Jody) Crane, Crystal (Tony) Bone; grandchildren, Haylee (Cody) Biggs, Braden Betterton; great granddaughter, Rylee Newton, and several step grandchildren; honorary friends, Tracy Shaw and Troy Padgett. As per David’s request, there will be no viewing or services.
