Mrs. Charlotte Ruth Wilson, age 65, of Leesburg passed away peacefully at her residence with her loving mother Katie, daughter Dawn, and son Matt by her side on Monday, December 30, 2024.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1pm Friday, January 3,2025 at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chad Brown and Evangelist Jerry Bryam officiating. Visitation will be held from 11am until the hour of service at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Yellow Creek Baptist Church cemetery.
Charlotte is survived by her mother; Katie (Granny) Bolding; her daughter Dawn (Dawg) Williams; her son Matthew (Ashley) Wilson from Bluffton, SC; sister Pam (Ed) Buttery of Boaz; Grandchildren Jordan & Derek Smith, Hoyt & Harper Wilson; Great grandchild, Evelynn (Evie) Charlotte Pete; Sister-in-law Fredia Bagwell; Brother-in-laws; Phillip Vargo of Gadsden, Dwight (Lynda) Wilson of Benton, KY, Steve (Bonnie) Wilson & a host of nieces, nephews, & cousins.
Pallbearers: Bradley Kiser, Brandon Byram, Cody Longshore, Michael Weeks, Tony Touchstone, and Dawg Williams. Honorary Pallbearers: Scott Kiser, Phillip Vargo, Ed Buttery, Steve Wilson, Dwight Wilson, and Joey Patterson.
She is preceded in death by her husband, (Speedy) Lewis Hoyt Wilson Jr; Father, Billy Jarrells; Sister, Linda Jarrells Vargo; Grandson, James Henry Wilson; Grandparents, H.A. & Viola Nabors, N.C. Kiser.
Charlotte was an avid Alabama fan and enjoyed fishing. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, Jordan & Derek Smith, Hoyt & Harper Wilson, and great grandchild, Evelynn (Evie) Charlotte Pete. She worked at Integrated Fibers for almost 40 years & enjoyed her work family, especially Glenda Morris. She is of Baptist faith.
