Mrs. Bonnie C. Barnes, age 60 of Cedar Bluff, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, AL.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, April 5, 2025 at the Chapel of Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Derek Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Unity Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Cedar Bluff. The family will receive friends Friday from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband, Eugene Barnes; Daughters, Patricia (Jeremy) Crane, Tammy (Adam Abernathy) Barnes, Crystal Goss; Sons, Ronald (Nooney) Barnes, Kevin (Alicia) Barnes, Jason (Caitlyn) Barnes, Jerry (Nikki) Barnes; Grandchildren, Cameron, Jerry, Adam, Timothy, Bradley, Derrick, Gage, Aubrey, Olivia, Brody, Gracie, Ellie, Rose, Sophia, Haylen, Reagan, Hannah, Kelsey, Preston, Hope, Maddisyn, Makayla, Tyler, Meleia, and Emmylou; Special friends, Michael and Linda Watson.
Pallbearers are Matthew Twilley, Matthew McKinney, Shane Coheley, Phillip Barnes, Jeremy White, and Chris White.
Honorary Pallbearers include Bradley Crane, Derrick Barnes, Gage Abernathy, and Dakota Langley.
Mrs. Barnes was born to the late James and Annie Barksdale in Conyers, GA. She loved nothing more than spending time with her children, grandchildren, and husband of 45 years, Eugene. Bonnie enjoyed painting and spent many years “cooking for an army” to fulfill the love she had for her family.
She was preceded in death by her son, Donald Eugene Barnes.
